Preparing and submitting a planning application for a proposed Community Diagnostic Centre at 12 Museum Street, Ipswich.

Project Details

LPP secured planning permission on behalf of ESNEFT for a proposed Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) and associated works at 12 Museum Street, Ipswich. The site comprises an existing property within central Ipswich within a Conservation Area that was previously used for office purposes. The proposed development comprised a proposed extension and external/internal alterations and ancillary works to facilitate a CDC to serve the local community.

Once implemented, the new CDC will transform local diagnostic services and will result in quicker, more local access to tests closer to patients homes. The new facility will also transform patient access, provide job opportunities and contribute to town centre regeneration efforts.

The planning application was supported by relevant technical information including drainage, arboriculture, acoustics, transport, ecological and biodiversity measures to accompany the scheme proposals.

LPP secured planning permission for the new facility in 2025 and construction of the building commenced in 2026. LPP have also been appointed by ESNEFT to discharge the associated planning conditions which are in progress.
