Preparing and submitting a planning application for a proposed Endoscopy building at Colchester Hospital.

LPP secured planning permission on behalf of ESNEFT for a proposed Endoscopy building and ancillary works at Colchester Hospital. The proposed development was required to increase the number of dedicated endoscopy rooms from one to five to provide a Joint Advisory Group compliant elective endoscopy and training facility on the site.

The proposed development will transform endoscopy services on the hospital site enabling improved access to endoscopy procedures that will improve health outcomes, particularly from bowel cancer.

The planning application was supported by relevant technical information including a Travel Plan, drainage, landscaping, transport, ecological and biodiversity measures to accompany the scheme proposals.

LPP secured planning permission for the new facility in 2023 with construction now completed and the facility opened in October 2025.
