🔄 A decision on Local Government Reorganisation in Essex and Suffolk has been announced by the Government. 🔜
🍓Essex will now be made up of the following 5 new unitary councils, subject to parliamentary approval:
• West Essex Council – Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping Forest;
• North Essex Council – Braintree, Colchester and Tendring;
• Mid Essex Council – Brentwood, Chelmsford and Maldon;
• South West Essex Council – Thurrock and Basildon;
• South East Essex Council – Castlepoint, Rochford and Southend-on-Sea.
🏇Suffolk will now be made up of the following 3 unitary councils, subject to parliamentary approval:
• Central and Eastern Suffolk Council – West Suffolk, 21 parishes from Mid Suffolk and Babergh (except for 31 parishes);
• Western Suffolk Council – Mid Suffolk (except for 29 parishes) and East Suffolk (except for 25 parishes);
• Ipswich and South Suffolk Council – Ipswich, 31 parishes from Babergh, 8 parishes from Mid Suffolk and 25 parishes from East Suffolk.
Existing councils will continue to deliver services until the new unitary authorities become operational until April 2028.

Another application we are pleased to have submitted is to @tendringdistrictcouncil for a scheme at Clacton-On-Sea Seafront. 🌊🐚
The scheme proposes the change of use of the former, disused public conveniences into a multi-use micro venue, with improvements to the existing beach patrol, as well as to the nearby, disused shelter and store building. The change of use and renovations will provide accessible community spaces, encouraging increased tourism and subsequent economic growth, whilst conserving and enhancing the surrounding historic environment.

On behalf of West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust @westsuffolknhs, LPP has submitted a planning application for an expansion of community diagnostic services at Newmarket Community Hospital.
The proposals comprise provision of a new building, designed by @medicalarchitecture, that will accommodate Endoscopy and Paediatric Audiology services, as well as providing staff facilities.
The scheme would expand patient access to Endoscopy services, reduce waiting times, enhance diagnostic capacity while being aligned with NHS sustainability and operational efficiency objectives.
Submission of the application follows positive pre-application engagement with the local community and @westsuffolkcouncil and is being supported by: Medical Architecture; @cotswoldarch; @swecouk; Rossi Long Consulting; Sharps Redmore; @bryanghall; @haydensarb; Kirsten Bowden Landscape Design; and @practical_ecology and ETA Projects.
