Isla joined LPP in 2024 having worked in office management for several years. Her role incorporates financial monitoring and management, business development and marketing as well as general administrative and planning technician duties. Isla also supports the Planning Team by carrying out background planning research, creating draft documents, and undertaking other technical tasks.

Katie joined LPP as a Graduate Trainee Planner in 2022 and was promoted to Planner in 2024. Her role involves projects relating to commercial Full and Listed Building Consent applications, as well as Householder, Change of Use and further assisted applications, including discharging conditions. She has undertaken the submission of many representations and the preparation of pre-application advice requests. Katie also supports the team’s project management by facilitating application submissions, reviewing Local Plans and by liaising with LPAs and sub consultants.

Natalie joined the Practice in 2014 as a Planning Technician and progressed to Associate Director in 2021. Her role involves preparing planning appraisals and applications for all types of consents, reviewing development plans, preparing representations and carrying out research into a range of planning related issues. Natalie also covers project management functions such as appointing and coordinating the work of specialist consultant teams and checking draft reports for consistency with the planning strategy.

Aarti has over 14 years of experience gained within consultancy practices. Her role involves coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to secure planning permission for a range of commercial, industrial, residential and leisure projects. She also provides strategic planning advice to a range of public and private sector clients. Aarti has provided planning policy advice and development management support to a range of NHS clients and Suffolk Constabulary.

Georgina is a Director of the Practice; she has over 18 years of experience in planning and consultancy practices, coordinating and managing multi-disciplinary teams on major and complex planning projects. Her role involves advising on planning strategy to ensure development is optimised for operational land and surplus assets. Georgina also has experience in the preparation of planning appeals including enforcement matters and attendance at informal hearings.

Sharon co-founded LPP with John and James Lawson in 2005 having worked previously as a Planning Officer for Colchester BC and Babergh DC. She has advised private and public sector clients on development projects requiring planning permission and listed building consent and provided project management support on a range of major schemes. Sharon now works on business development and HR matters for LPP.

John is the Managing Director of the Practice and has over 35 years of town planning experience gained within private and public sector organisations in the UK and abroad. He has advised and worked on proposals relating to commercial, housing, retail, healthcare, sport and leisure and education-based developments as well as heritage assets. He also acts as an expert planning witness at public inquiries and has significant multi-disciplinary project management experience. John’s work includes securing planning permission and local plan allocations for major schemes on previously developed and greenfield sites, as well as Development Plan preparation and advising on planning strategy in support of clients’ development objectives.
