For larger schemes and urban development projects which breach the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations threshold, where necessary, we undertake an EIA screening exercise and request an equivalent screening opinion from the local planning authority.

Following EIA screening, most schemes are discounted and do not require Environmental Assessment.  However, for larger schemes which following screening are considered likely to have significant environmental effects, we undertake EIA scoping to establish the extent of those significant effects to be assessed.  In such circumstances and working with the appointed project team environmental assessor we coordinate the preparation of a related Environmental Statement including non-technical summaries in support of related planning applications.
