I was the appointed planning officer that worked with LPP regarding a proposed healthcare facility in Clacton-on-Sea. Tomorrow is November 8th which celebrates 🌍World Town Planning Day 🏢, with 2025 marking the 75th anniversary of the event. As you know, 2025 also marks the 20 year anniversary of LPP🟪.
Over the past two decades, LPP has worked hard to ensure good planning has empowered communities, with projects that have had positive economic, social and environmental impacts.
Here’s a few highlights of our work over the past 20 years:
🏥 Achieving consent for a new elective orthopaedic centre for East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust serving the wider sub-region.
🐾 Gaining approval for a 13.8 hectare local nature reserve, between Basildon and Wickford as part of the delivery of a new data centre.
🌱 Securing consent for a Wellbeing Garden in collaboration with the Royal Horticultural Society at Colchester Hospital.
🧱 Giving new life to Grade II* historic buildings by securing consent to convert Greyfriars in Colchester into a high-quality accessible hotel and restaurant.
🏫 Obtaining approval for a new state of the art school building at Gosfield School in Essex, replacing dilapidated temporary classrooms.
LPP are proud to support local communities by securing planning permission for all different kinds of schemes, and hope to continue doing so over the next 20 years!
