There is a pressing demand for more Data Centres to be constructed to provide greater data processing and storage capacity for Basildon and the wider country’s growing digital and AI sector. This scheme seeks to help meet the urgent need for more data infrastructure and proposes the development of a 26,000sqm AI Data Centre on a 7.2-hectare site, with ancillary infrastructure and biodiversity enhancements within the Metropolitan Green Belt.
