Planning strategy advice and secure planning permission for a strategic wetland habitat creation and recreational facilities.

LPP was instructed to provide planning and minerals strategy advice to assist the preparation of a planning application for a new 736ha inter-tidal coastal habitat creation project requiring the marine importing of 7.3mm³ of fill.

• Planning and minerals strategy advice in support of one planning application and related Environmental Assessment process
• Project audit
• Liaison with Crossrail and statutory consultees including the Environment Agency
• Planning permission was subsequently granted for what is acknowledged as the UK’s largest coastal habitat creation project in 2009
