Engage in the preparation of Local Plan documents on behalf of the NHS.
Project Details
LPP instructed to review draft Local Plan documents and prepare and submit representations, as necessary, to ensure that a suitable strategic and local planning policy framework is in place to provide for an appropriate level of guidance and certainty to inform subsequent health strategies and investment in connection with development control decisions.
LPP also prepares evidence bases outlining the baseline healthcare capacity position for the relevant local authority and the likely healthcare infrastructure and funding required to meet the needs arising from planned growth. This information is used to inform local authorities’ Infrastructure Delivery Plans and Programmes.
LPP’s Role
- Planning strategy advice
- Assembly of specialist consultancy team and project management of the planning process
- Liaison and negotiation with Local Planning Authority
- Submission of representations as part of the Council’s ‘Call for Sites’ process and related local plan review
