Instruction
Preparing and submitting representations on behalf of the College to seek site specific policy recognition for the site and the provision of planning advice for the College’s modernisation and expansion.
Project Details
LPP were instructed to prepare and submit written representations to the emerging West Suffolk Local Plan on behalf of Stoke College. Representations were prepared to ensure that site specific policy recognition was provided for the College and the future developments required on the site.
It was important to ensure that education related uses could come forward to support the function of the site along with recognition allowing for the disposal of parts of the estate in the event that they become surplus to requirements.
This exercise was undertaken in relation to ‘Issues and Options’, ‘Preferred Options’ and ‘Submission Draft’ versions of the emerging Local Plan. LPP submitted representations in December 2020, July 2022 and March 2024.
In addition, LPP have been providing planning advice regarding the estate’s modernisation and expansion strategy which includes increasing the roll capacity and updating and expanding existing buildings and the provision of new buildings on the site.
LPP’s Role
