Pre application engagement with London Borough of Havering in respect of a residential development on a ‘Green Belt’ site to the north of the A127 Southend Arterial Road.

LPP are instructed to seek pre-application advice for the   residential development of the site, which comprises 2.5ha of land located within the Metropolitan Green Belt and comprises a dwelling, a range of workshop/business units, open storage service yards, parking and hardstanding areas.

The scheme proposes the demolition of the existing residential bungalow and the erection of 9 no. new dwellings.

To support the proposals, a landscape led approach has been adopted and a planning case put forward based on the site constituting previously developed land and buildings in line with the National Planning Policy Framework, 2025.
