Instruction – Planning strategy advice to obtain planning permission for chemical storage buildings

Client – Industrial Chemicals Ltd

Project Details – LPP instructed to secure permission for two chemical storage buildings to provide increased manufacturing and storage capacity at ICL’s West Thurrock Works Site. Two planning applications were submitted and approved by the LPA in 2014, and pre-commencement conditions are in the process of being discharged to facilitate development later in 2015. LPP successfully negotiated out the Council’s request for £120,000 worth of financial contributions which had been sought in line with its planning obligation standard charges.

Proposals to relocate ICL’s Titan Works Site and include new office floorspace, requiring LPP’s planning strategy and masterplanning advice, are currently in development.
